Homework

Homework assignments will be posted on this site as they become available. There will be two components to the graded homework for this course - daily WeBWorK assignments and weekly written homework assignments.

WeBWorK

WeBWorK is an online homework system used at Dartmouth. Detailed information regarding WeBWorK can be found here. WeBWorK problems will be assigned after almost every lecture (on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays - not after x-hours) and due by 8:00 a.m. on the morning of the lecture after next. For example, if WeBWorK is assigned on Monday, it is due at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. Late WebWork will receive a score of zero. There will be about 23 assignments in all.

Each WeBWorK assignment should take no more than 30 minutes to complete. Please inform your instructor if you are finding that this is not the case.

Here is a link to the WeBWorK Page for the course.

Written homework

Homework will be assigned most weeks, for a total of 8 assignments. Assignments will generally be given out on Fridays, due the following Friday at the beginning of class. Homework solutions should be written legibly in pen or pencil or typed. We reserve the right to reject any papers that are illegible.

You will be allowed to turn in at most two written assignments late. Any late assignment is due by the next homework deadline (i.e., the Friday after it was originally due), and you need not give any explanation to your instructor regarding why it was late. Simply write "LATE" at the top of the paper before handing it in.
