There will be two "midterm examinations" and a final examination. The two midterm exams will come in two parts, an in-class portion in the xhour, followed by a take-home portion handed out in the xhour and due at the beginning of the class period indicated below. The exams are scheduled as follows:

The course grade will be based upon the scores on the midterm exam, homework, and the final exam as follows:
| Minor Midterm | 75 points |
| Major Midterm | 125 points |
| Homework | 100 points |
| Final Exam | 200 points |
| Total | 500 points |
| The Honor Principle |

On Exams: No help given or received
Collaboration on homework is permitted and encouraged. However, each student must write up her or his solutions independently. Submission of your solution comes with the assurance that you understand and can defend what you have written. It is obviously a violation of the Honor Principle to simple copy another student's work.
