Preparing for exams. We all have our personal strategy to prepare for exams, and you should follow your very own. I can only suggest the following two things:
(1) when you complete each WeBWorK assignment print the problem set and your answers for future reference; (your problems and your answers are saved by the server and you will be able to retrieve them at any time during the semester, but, you know, paper can be kept in a binder ...)
(2) before an exam try to (re)work problems from the following list of suggested problems. They are compiled from our textbook, they are ordinary drill problems, you may even notice overlapping with the WeBWorK assignments, but they cover all the concepts discussed in class.

Homework Policy

• Homework will be assigned daily and will be formally due at 5 PM, two periods after it was assigned. This is done to accommodate any conflicts that may appear during the semester. The moral due date of each assignment is the next day of class, and you should try to observe it.
• This term all homework assignments will be submitted via the web, so deadlines are enforced electronically. NO late homework will be accepted.
• Details are posted on the Homework assignments web page of the course.

Note. The homework scores not only count count towards your final grade and allow you to practice and refine your skills but, historically, those students who do the homework sets regularly fair better on the exams.

The Honor Principle

Tutorials

Tutorial assistance for this course, that is, help with your homework, will be available in 102 Bradley , Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evening, 7 - 9 PM. Tutorials will begin on Thursday, March 27. The tutors are Oscar Campos and Yanming Li, from the Math department. With comments and concerns about the tutorials contact your instructor and not the teaching assistants.

Also note that the Tutor Clearinghouse will have private one-on-one tutors available for Math 8. The tutors are recruited on the basis that they have done well in the subject, and are trained by the Academic Skills Center. If a student receives financial aid, the College will pay for three hours of tutoring per week. If you would like to have a tutor, please go to 301 Collis and fill out an application as early in the term as possible.
