Text:   Calculus,  fifth edition by James Stewart.   (Available at the Dartmouth Bookstore.)

Section 1, Arkowitz, 11:15-12:20 MWF, 111 Wilder (moved from 102 Bradley)

Section 2, Kiralis, 12:30-1:35 MWF, 101 Bradley
(X-hour: Tu 1:00-1:50, won't be used unless otherwise anounced)

Tutorials:  7:00-9:00 in Silsby 312 and 213 every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday evening
(except no tutorials on the day of the exams).  You can get help with the homework during tutorials.  Jonathan Bayless, Nicholas Scoville and Annalies Vuong are the tutors.

Homework:  Assigned each class and due at the start of the next class.   That is, homework listed on the syllabus for day n is due at the start of the class on day n+1.  Late homework will not be accepted without a valid excuse, such as a medical one. 
Each homework problem counts 2 points:  0 points if the problem is omitted or mostly wrong, 1 point if it is partially correct, and 2 points if it is correct or nearly so.
    There are labeled homework boxes near the classrooms where you should hand in and pick up your homework.

 
Exams:
      Sunday,  Oct. 16,   Silsby 28 , 5:00-7:00pm.
      Wednesday,  Nov. 9,  Murdough Cook Auditorium (changed from Silsby 28) , 5:00-7:00pm.  
    Final exam:  Saturday, December 3, 11:30-2:30, in Murdough Cook Auditorium.

    You are not allowed to use calculators on any of the exams.

  The final will cover the entire course, but will emphasize material covered since the second exam.
  No early final exams will be given.

Grading:    Two Exams, 100 points each;  Final exam, 150 points;  Homework assignments, 50 points.

Honor  Code:
      Homework:  You may work together on assignments.  However, you should write up all work you hand in on your own. It is a violation of the honor code to copy from another person's paper or notes, even if you worked with that person.
      Exams:  All exams are closed book.  Giving or receiving any help during an exam is a violation of the honor code.
 

Disabilities:
    Any student with a documented disability needing academic adjustments or accommodations should talk
to the instructor by the end of the second week of the term.  All discussions will remain confidential, although the Student
Disabilities Coordinator may be consulted to verify the documentation of the disability.
