Proposed Topics For this Week: We will be covering sections 1.3-1.5. We will be exploring some of the structure of vector spaces including subsapces and certian sets of vectors. In particular linear independent, dependent and spanning sets of vectors will be explored.
The X-session Topic In order to make up for several likely to be missed lectures later this quater in this x-session some new and required material will be covered. For the next three X-sessions we will be discussing innerproducts and some basic material from chapter 6. (All the discussed material will of course be independent of the material not yet covered in the book.) This week we see what an inner-product is and explore some basic facts.
