This WeekÕs Homework: Read carefully sections 3.1,3.2,3.3 and 3.4. (We will not be filling all the details of these sections in lecture so be sure to read them carefully.) Please turn in 3.1: 2,4,5 and 3.2: 2((a),(c)),3,5((a),(b),(c)),6((a),(b)),7,9,22 and 3.3 2((a)(d)),3((a),(d)),4((a)(b))

Proposed Topics For this Week: Elementary Matrixes, computing ranks, finding inverses, and a brief return to solving systems. This week will be largely computational; essentially we will be looking once again at Gauss-Jordan elimination and interpreting it in the language of matrix multiplication and linear transformations.

The X-session Topic The proof workshop continuation. Once again if there is a particular proof you want to explore just blitz the request to me.

Here a bizarre looking version of the Geometry Hand Out.
