(1) As a group, create complete lesson plans for the first two days of math camp 1, or if you are not teaching in these two days, your first lesson plan. These must include for each lesson: goals, materials, assessment plans (this means copies of the actual questionnaires you'll use, and who will handle them, what observers will do and from where in the room), approximate timing. It's crucial that the group checks that the prior knowledge needed for each lesson is already present. Lesson plans can be uploaded to dropbox or placed in one of our mailboxes by noon Wednesday.
(2) read your assigned handout on cooperative learning.
(3) A heads-up that we will be asking you to prepare for Thursday (day 8) a 5-min class segment from one of your MC1 lesson plans, that addresses one goal you identified from analyzing your 5-min lecture videos last week. We will video this segment. If you don't have a suitable 5-minute lecture segment in your lesson plan, you can create one (which you won't necessarily use in math camp, but could if you wished to).
This means that you must have your 5-min video response uploaded (or in our mailboxes) that were due last week, asap, if you've not done this!
