August 9–13, 2010

The eighth conference on Permutation Patterns, PP2010, was held at Dartmouth College and had over 65 participants for a program of 34 talks.

The Permutation Patterns 2010 Proceedings will be published as a special issue of the journal Pure Mathematics and Applications, with guest editors Robert Brignall, Sergi Elizalde, and Vince Vatter.

To submit a paper to the proceedings, please send it as a pdf file to Vince Vatter at vatter@ufl.edu. Papers submitted for this special issue will be refereed by two anonymous referees, according to the usual standards of PuMA. The deadline for submissions is February 28th, 2011.

All papers related to the theme of permutation patterns are welcomed, not just papers presented at the conference. Relevant topics include (but are not limited to) enumeration questions, forbidden pattern questions, the study of the permutation pattern order, algorithms for computing with permutation patterns, applications and generalizations of permutation patterns, and others.

Permutation Patterns 2010 was made possibly by the support of the Dartmouth College Department of Mathematics, the Dartmouth College Provost's Office, and the National Science Foundation (via grant DMS-1003908).

Permutation Patterns 2011 will be held at California Polytechnic State University, June 20–24, 2011.
