Travel

Dartmouth Coach. Most participants, especially those traveling a long distance, are recommended to fly into Logan International Airport (in downtown Boston) and from there to take the Dartmouth Coach luxury bus ("luxury" here meaning that the bus has complementary bottled water and wifi). Dartmouth Coach runs 6 times per day (beginning at 8:55am and ending at 8:55pm) and arrives in Hanover in a little under 3 hours. A round trip ticket can be purchased on the bus for $60.

Greyhound. Those arriving to Logan after 8:55pm may find Greyhound's route 9127 service useful. This bus leaves at 11:45pm from South Station and makes a stop in Hanover at around 2:30am. One way tickets cost $31.75. In order to reach South Station from Logan take a Silver Line bus, available at all terminals for $2 (and make sure to allow 45 minutes for the journey). The destination of the route is listed as Montreal.

Greyhound, from Manchester. The route 9127 previously mentioned and a few other Greyhound routes also stop at Manchester Boston Regional Airport, which is about an hour closer to Hanover than Logan and a good option for domestic travellers. Note that in order to search for routes from Manchester Airport on the Greyhound site, one must search for routes from Boston and then examine the itinerary to see when they stop at Manchester. It does not appear possible to purchase these tickets in advance.

Car Rental. Avis and Hertz both service Lebanon airport (a $10-15 taxi ride from Hanover) and offer one-way rentals from Logan, Manchester, and other nearby locations.

The College also maintains a website with advice.

Accommodation

Conference accommodation will be provided in Rauner Hall, part of the McLaughlin Residential Cluster. The accommodation fee will also include a prepaid Dartmouth meal card with approximately $30 to spend at college cafeterias.

Participants can elect to stay at the Hanover Inn. While we do not know the exact charge for this option at this time, it is guaranteed to be no more than $159 per night. This is the only accomodation available for participants bringing guests.

Check-in for the dorm rooms will be from 6:00–8:30 on Sunday evening. Participants arriving later than this should phone the organizers at (603) 443-3148 upon arriving in Hanover.

Participants requiring other special arrangements should contact the organisers.

Disabilities

The conference is wheelchair accessible. Persons who wish to request disability-related accommodations (including sign-language interpreters) should contact Tracy F. Moloney. Special dietary needs or allergies can also be arranged through Tracy. Requests can be made at any time, but some types of accommodations take several weeks to arrange. Therefore, please request accommodations as soon as possible. The College can usually provide accommodations requested three weeks prior to the event.
