Read what we will cover in class on Friday and Monday: 11.4 and 11.5
When reading 11.4 pay special attention to the following concepts:
- series that are not nonnegative, conditional convergence, absolute convergence, the relation between
absolute and conditional convergence, alternating series, alternating series test,
the miscellaneous examples.
When reading 11.5 pay special attention to the following concepts:
- power series, coefficients, geometric power series, connetions with polynmials,
base point, domains of power series and intervals of convergence,
note the algorithm for determining intervals of convergence, radius of convergence,
what's the big deal about endpoints??
