When reading 3.4 pay special attention to the following concepts: Propositions 3.26 - 3.29, tautology & Proposition 3.31, closed wf, closed wfs and interpretations logically valid wf, contradictory wf. When reading 4.1 pay special attention to the following concepts: the axioms, the rules of inference, what words like deduction, proof, theorem, and consequence mean in this new setting, Proposition 4.3 and 4.4.
