	Quiz Remember that we have a quiz on Monday 1/25.

	Reading Read what we will cover in class on 1/25: Chapter 6, 7 When reading Chapter 6 pay special attention to the following concepts: automorphism, the inner automorphism induced by a, Aut(G) and Inn(G), the characterization of Aut(Zn). When reading Chapter 7 pay special attention to the following concepts: coset, definition and examples, properties of cosets, Lagrange's Theorem.

	Problems The following problems are due by the beginning of class on Monday 1/25. Ch 6 : 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 23. Prove Theorem 6.2.3. Look at problems 19 and 28; they're interesting prolblems... Blitz me if you want to see or discuss the proof of any of the other parts of Theorem 6.2. Unless a request is made, I am going to assume that the book's proof is sufficient.
