Office hours: Monday 10–11:30 AM, Wednesday 4:30-6 PM, Friday 5-6:30 PM and by appointment. I am very flexible with appointments, so do not hesitate to schedule one if needed.


Lectures: This course meets Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 1:45-2:50 PM in Carson L02, X-period is Thursday 1 -1:50 PM. We will try to use the X-hour as rarely as possible. If we meet during the X-hour this will be announced


Textbook: “Elementary Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems” by William E. Boyce and Richard C. Di Prima, eighth edition .Available at Wheelock Books.

Tutorials: Tutorial sessions will be held on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 7 pm - 9 pm in Bradley 101. The first tutorial is on Thursday January 5.

There will be two midterm examinations and a final examination. These exams are scheduled as follows:

The registrar office schedules the final exam. Do not  make plans to leave Hanover before March 12 Exams will not be given early to accommodate travel plans.


Homework:

Regular homework will be assigned at every lecture and it will be collected at the first lecture of the following week. The homework assignment will be posted at http://www.math.dartmouth.edu/~m23w06/Homework.html

Late Homework will not be accepted (except for emergency cases).

Unexcused late and missing homework counts zero.


Honor policy:

On Exams: No help given or received. Calculators are not allowed.

On Homework: Collaboration is permitted and encouraged, but NO COPYING .
