by Guided Group Discovery

A workshop led by Ken Bogart and Karen Collins

August 11-15, 2003

Dartmouth College

Space is available.  Applications close July 21.

We will be holding a workshop for people interested in learning about guided discovery teaching, especially in combinatorics. For more details on the workshop here is a description.

The workshop is based in part on a set of problem notes created with the support of the National Science Foundation, grant DUE-0087466. To see the latest version of these notes, click here.

For a PDF file of the application form for the workshop, click here. To request an e-mail or Microsoft Word (specify mac or windows, please) version of the application form click here to ask for the version you prefer, or send e-mail to kenneth.p.bogart@dartmouth.edu requesting the form. Alternatively, you can send e-mail to kenneth.p.bogart@dartmouth.edu with the answers to the questions on the PDF application form or mail a paper version of the form to the address on the form.

Participants will be housed in Morton Hall in the East Wheelock dormitory complex, a modern, air-conditioned facility which is a short walk from the center of campus and downtown. Rooms are organized into suites; rooms will be assigned on a signle occupancy basis, but there is just one bathroom per suite. Two meals a day will be provided in the participant's choice of College dining facilities with a modest allowance for the actual costs of one additional meal a day either at these facilities or at local restaurants.
