Math 8 Exam Information

CALCULATOR POLICY: Calculators or computing devices will not be allowed on exams. You may use calculators, Mathematica and/or Maple on homework, but it is your responsibility to be prepared to work the exams without the help of calculators or computers. The exams will be designed so that calculators are not required (or even helpful).

The first midterm is Monday, January 29, from 5:00 to 7:00. The location is 105 Dartmouth Hall. Professor Arkowitz will have office hours on Monday from 2 to 4:30. Professor Ionescu will have office hours on Monday from 2 to 4.

The second midterm is Monday, February 19, from 5:00 to 7:00. The location is 105 Dartmouth Hall. Professor Arkowitz will have office hours on Monday from 2 to 4. Professor Ionescu will have office hours on Monday from 2 to 4. Our tutors will have extra office hours on Sunday: Sara Wright will have office hours from 11 to 1, and Ralf Rueckriemen from 1 to 3.

The final is Sunday, March 11, 3:00-6:00 in Moore Filene. Professor Arkowitz will have extra office hours on Friday from 1:30 to 4. Professor Ionescu will have office hours on Saturday from 1:30 to 4. Our tutors volunteered to have extra office hours as follows: Sarah will be in her office (218 Kemeny Hall) Sunday 11-1; Ralph will be in his office (222 Kemeny Hall) Saturday 10-12. All these office hours are available to students from both sections.

The last homework (day 28) is due Friday, March 9.
